Cinnamon Sugar Churros

Dive into these crisp and golden sticks of joy, generously coated with everyone's favourite mix - Cinnamon Sugar. The perfect party snack!

Preparation Time: 10 mins | Cooking Time: 20 - 30 mins | Serves 3 - 4 pax

Ingredients

  • 60g Unsalted Butter

  • 1 Tbsp Granulated White Sugar

  • 1/4 Tsp Salt

  • 250ml Water (approx 1 cup)

  • 140g Self-Raising Flour

  • 1/2 Tsp Vanilla Extract

  • 1 Egg

  • Cooking Oil

(Cinnamon Sugar Mix) - Mix together & set aside

  • 100g Granulated White Sugar

  • 1 Tsp Ground Cinnamon

Directions

  1. Add Butter, Sugar, Salt and Water to a saucepan and bring to a boil.

  2. Once butter has completely melted, lower the heat and stir in the flour till it forms a dough ball.

  3. Place the dough ball in a large mixing bowl and add in Vanilla Extract. Let it cool down for 5 - 10 minutes.

  4. Add in egg and use an electric hand mixer to whisk the mix till well-combined. (Use a spatula to gently press down on the dough as you go to help it come together better)

  5. Put the mix in a piping bag or Ziplock bag with a star-shaped nozzle. *See Image Below*

  6. Bring a saucepan of oil to boil and pipe small strips of the Churros Mixture into the hot oil. Fry till golden brown and remove from oil to rest on a kitchen towel.

  7. Coat the fried Churros in the Cinnamon Sugar Mix and it's ready to serve!
