Directions
Soak mussels in water and briefly scrub them with a toothbrush. Remove the Mussel Beards (The greenish, hair like fibres that sprout out from the shells) and set aside.
In a large heated saucepan, add in butter and stir till melted.
Add in the chopped garlic and stir fry till fragrant. Then, add in the beer and bring to a boil. Once the beer comes to a boil, lower the heat and let the beer simmer for 5 minutes.
Then, add in the cream and stir well. Season the sauce with salt and pepper to preferred taste.
Once the mixture begins to bubble, add in the cleaned mussels and cover with lid. Let it cook for approximately 5 minutes.
Turn off the heat and sprinkle chopped parsley into mixture. Stir well before serving.
Ready to serve with your favourite breads!
Enjoy!
