Instantly achieve rich and wholesome prawn flavours in your pasta with this Cheat Code Recipe, perfectly accompanied by crunchy bits of bacon and fragrant fried shallots.

Cooking Time: 15 - 20 mins | Serves 2 pax

Ingredients

  • 200g Linguine (approx 2 portions)

  • 100g Streaky Bacon, Sliced into Small Pieces (approx 3 - 4 slices)

  • 3 Cloves of Garlic, Chopped

  • 1/2 Tbsp Dried Chili Flakes - Optional

  • 2 Tbsp Olive Oil

(Prawn Stock)

  • 1 Packet Prima Taste Prawn Mee Meal Sauce Kit (260g) *See Image Below*

Directions

(Prawn Stock)

  1. In a saucepan, add the different sachets of the Prima Taste Prawn Mee Sauce Kit (except the sachet containing the Fried Shallots and Oil).

  2. Stir well and bring to a boil. Once boiled, take it off the heat and set aside.

(Bacon Aglio Olio)

  1. Bring a pot of water to boil and add in some cooking oil. Cook the linguine al dente according to the instructions on the packaging (Undercook the noodles by 1 - 2 minutes). Drain and set aside when done.

  2. In the meantime, slice up the bacon into mini strips and chop up the cloves of garlic.

  3. Add Olive Oil to a pan on medium heat and fry the bacon bits till golden brown and crispy. Then, add in the chopped garlic and dried chili flakes and stir fry.

  4. Add in the undercooked pasta and 150ml of the prepared prawn stock (approx 1/2 Cup + 2 Tbsp). Stir well till each strand is well coated and until the stock has mostly reduced. *Feel free to add more prawn stock if you like your pasta tastier/ if you are preparing a larger portion

  5. Toss the cooked pasta with the Sachet of Fried Shallots and Oil and it's ready to serve!

Enjoy!

Signing off, Cher
